Solvang rocked this past weekend with the annual Solvang Blues Festival held at the Royal Scandinavian Inn.

Both evenings were sold out as people crowded the ballrooms and enjoyed great food and even greater vibes and rhythms supplied by Peach on Friday night and Steve Copeland and Raging Sun on Saturday night.

The ballrooms were joined and decorated with icicle lights and those in attendance crowded the dance floor to move to the sounds of these two fantastic blues groups.

Not only did locals enjoy this event, but people from Bakersfield, Palm Springs, San Bernadino, Riverside, and Colorado came especially for this event which is in its eighth year.

Peach is an accomplished blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has performed with some of the best musicians in the business. She is the recipient of the 2001 Los Angeles Music Award-Blues Artist of the Year and just last month was presented with the 2002 Los Angeles Music Award for Special Achievement.

In between being a wife and mother, Peach has managed to record two CDs, "The Cure for You" and "Peach Live!" both of which have received high praise from industry critics and fellow artists.

She has performed with legendary drummer James Gadson, Dick Sims (Eric Clapton) and Lee Thornburg (Etta James, Tower of Power, and The Tonight Show Band) to name a few. On any given day you can hear her blues on radios coast to coast. Her newest CD "Starin' You in the Face" will be released in the first quarter of this year.

Peach was joined by Louis Van Taylor on sax, Christian Hastings, guitar, Marty Grebb on the keyboard, Maria Martinez on drums and Eric T. Ward on bass.
