The track features PEACH on acoustic guitar and vocals, with her longtime accompanist Ken Stange (Joe Cocker) on piano. The song is a cover of the Christmas standard written by Lou Baxter and Johnny Moore and originally recorded in 1947 by Johnny Moore's Three Blazers.

The song was self-released by PEACH in December 2015 as a limited time free digital download. PEACH explained, "Merry Christmas Baby was recorded several years ago, but never released, just stored away like a shiny penny - and now available here."
